 The 14th spring conference of the Japan Evaluation Society holds a thematic session to examine major issues and prospects of the governance systems in private and public sectors.


 The thematic session on the governance systems in private and public sectors consisted of presentations made by four speakers.

    Mr. Ken Shibusawa, Chief Executive Officer of the Shibusawa and Company, and Founding Partner and Chairman of Commons Asset Management, Inc.

  1. Current Status and Challenges for Governance of a Local Municipality: Koganei City

    Professor Sumihiro Kuyama of United Nations University, member of the Board of Directors, Partnership for Democratic Governance

  1. Current Status and Challenges facing Governance System: Special Reference to Gender Equality

    Ms. Mitsuko Horiuchi of Kitakyushu Forum on Asian Women, member of the Board of Directors, Partnership for Democratic Governance

  1. Governance of Nascent Nation of Timor-Leste: Accomplishments and Challenges

    Professor Sukehiro Hasegawa, President of the Global Peacebuilding Association of Japan and member of the Board of Directors of the UN Association of Japan
