エドワード・ニューマン教授（Professor Edward Newman）は、英国リーズ大学（University of Leeds）政治学・国際学研究科（School of Politics and International Studies）における国際安全保障学（International Security）教授である。教育・研究の主たる関心は国際安全保障研究にあり、特に国内武力紛争（intrastate armed conflict）、資源不足（resource scarcity）、そして移行期にある国際秩序（transitional international order）の力学と帰結に焦点を当てている。
また、ニューマン教授はリーズ大学社会科学部（Faculty of Social Sciences）の大学院（Graduate School）責任者（Head）を2021年から2023年まで務め、大学院教育・研究の推進に貢献してきた。
