The Global Peacebuilding Association of Japan (GPAJ) welcomes Ambassador Hans G. Klemm as a new member. Ambassador Klemm served in the U.S. Foreign Service for more than 30 years and was Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary in the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Human Resources.
He also served as U.S. Ambassador to Romania (2015–2019) and U.S. Ambassador to Timor-Leste (2007–2010), contributing to a wide range of diplomatic engagements and bilateral cooperation.
Ambassador Klemm is currently a member of the Board of Councilors of the U.S.-Japan Council (USJC), an organization dedicated to developing and connecting global leaders to strengthen the U.S.-Japan relationship.
