The Global Peacebuilding Association of Japan (GPAJ) welcomes Professor Edward Newman as a new member. Professor Newman is Professor of International Security in the School of Politics and International Studies at the University of Leeds, UK, and serves as Head of the Graduate School of the Faculty of Social Sciences.
His teaching and research focus on international security studies, particularly intrastate armed conflict, resource scarcity, and the dynamics and consequences of the transitional international order. He previously served as Head of the Graduate School for the Faculty of Social Sciences between 2021 and 2023.
